Slovakia sells Su-22s to Angola
Published:
12/17/1999
Slovakia is reported to have sold its 17 Su-22 fighter aircraft, together with three two-seater trainer aircraft, to the Angolan government. The deal, which is said to have been signed in November, could, according to sources in Bratislava, be extended to provide for additional sales in the future. The aircraft have already been transferred to the Military Maintenance Unit at Trencin for disassembly. They will later be transported by road to one of the Polish ports and shipped to Angola.
