An-124 does the job

An-124 get the chance to show their capability to the RAF

The chartered An-124 lifted four AS330 Puma from Brize Norton air force base in Oxfordshire accompanied by their crew flying in an RAF Tristar, after an unseemly public dispute in the UK about who should pay for the aircraft to go to the flooded country. Despite the lift the An-124 remains the outside chance, in a competition that favours the proposal for four Boeing C-17s, due to the preference of the RAF for the US solution.
