Sri Lankan Air Force crash

40 people killed in crash

The Sri Lankan Air Force has reported that one of its An-32Bs in a crash 135km from Colombo.
The aircraft one of six operated by the Sri Lankans, was flying from Jafna and while attempting to land at a military base at Talava crashed with the loss of the 40 people onboard.
An investigation is underway, but there were reports of an engine fire before the crash.
