Bulgarian airline gets government minister on board

Worker"s concern leads to management representation

Under an agreement reached between the owners of Balkan Airlines, the Zeevi Group and the Bulgarian Privatisation Agency, a member of the Bulgarian Transport and Communications Ministry will join the board of the Balkan airline. The new member will be elected at the airline"s AGM on the 18th April. The intention of the move, negotiated with representatives of the trade unions, is to give some say to both the government and the workforce on what have been flagged as serious structural changes at the airline.
