Russian and Pakistan develop space cooperation

Satellite programme continues

Russia and Pakistan have created an intergovernmental commission on trade and scientific technical co-operation. Russian Minister of Trade and Pakistan"s Ambassador signed related agreements on 30 March in Moscow. The co-operation agreement will focus on space exploration. There is currently a programme underway between the 2 countries to launch Pakistan"s satellite Badr-2 by Russian launcher under a contract worth $0.8m. The estimated cost of the satellite programme being undertaken by Pakistani and Russian companies is $130 m.
