Funding for helicopter maker

Rosvertol gets loan for rotor blade production

The regional government in Rostov have provided guarantees for loans to helicopter maker OAO Rosvertol for the production of the Mi-2 main rotor blades. The loans will fund total investments of 8,535,000 rubles ($305,000), including 3,335,000 provided by the plants itself, and 1,500,000 from the local administration. The newspaper Molot reports that Rosvertol plans to open its bases in Africa and South America and create its own cargo airline.
