Malev announces restructuring programme

Workforce to be cut by 10%-15%

According to Ferenc Kovacs, Managing Director of Malév 10%-15% of its employees will be dismissed this year, as part of a restucturing programme linked to the national carrier's privatisation. The company currently employs 3,500 people. He added that the company would sell branches that are not closely connected to its core activities. The state privatisation agency, APV, will decide which businesses will be sold according to Malev.
