Turkmen Airlines flights

Regular international flights for Turkmenistan Airlines

Published: 5/19/2000

The Turkmenistan flag carrier, Turkmen Havo Yollary (Turkmenistan Airlines) will start making regular flights in autumn 2000 to New York and Toronto via Birmingham twice a week using its Boeing 757-200s. The company expects most of the passengers for the flights to come from India and the UK and is looking for load factors to be around 70%. According to press reports, the flight has been made possible by the UK authorities' agreement to allow the airline to pick up and disembark passengers and cargo in the UK. Turkmen Havo Yollary plans to open soon its foreign offices in New York and Toronto. The potential flights to New York were announced at the beginning of 2000 along with flights to Frankfurt and Dacca.
