Aviakor strike

New bargaining agreement expected soon

The recent Aviakor strike has had no impact on production schedule of the plant according to Valentina Lyakisheva of Aviakor. She admitted that there have been some slight delays, but the bulk of the strike action had not been in the shops concerned with manufacture and the plant as of 1st May was back on schedule. The resolution of the dispute however, required the management of the plant to meet all the demands of the trade union meeting on the 28th April, particularly the increase of 100% in wages. The plant was closed between 1st and 10th May, but the new wage bargaining agreement is due to be signed soon reflecting the new terms.
