LOT has new ERJ-145s

Aircraft will allow expansion of regional operations

Polish carrier LOT is to expand its regional operations after agreeing to convert its six remaining purchase options on the ERJ-145 from Brazilian producer EMBRAER. The airline took the delivery of its first aircraft in July of 1999 and currently has four in service, mainly servicing cities in Poland on routes to Germany and Switzerland The carrier has also ordered an additional three aircraft, bringing its total commitment to 15 aircraft for its regional operations at a cost of $250m. The new aircraft will replace Boeing 737s and offer greater frequencies for travellers.
