Slow but steady for Air Baltic

Airline reports growth in passenger volumes (110 words)

Published: 7/28/2000

Latvian carrier Air Baltic has reported that its June load factor increased to 57.8%, up 1.13% year on year and 1.05% month on month. The airline carried 20,389 passengers during the month of June, a 3.3% increase on the same month in 1999. The carrier, in which SAS has a 38% stake, has seen a slowing in the growth in its passenger volumes from February when they grew by 12%, although the load factor has shown a steady improvement for the 40% recorded during that month. The airline currently operates a fleet of three Avro RJs and three Fokker F50s.
