Testing ot Tu-334 follows contracts for Tu154 and Tu-134 (130 words)

Riga based flight research facility Aviatest Latvijas Novitates Komplekss (LNK) has received a contract for flight tests on the Tu-334 according to Igor Kalygin , the programme's General Designer. The tests due to start in the next month according to Alexander Milov, Chairman of LNK and the flight programme has already been agreed for certification test on elements of the plane's wing to establish the aircraft's lifetime. The facility, which is 40 years old this month, has been through some hard times according to Milov, since the break up of the Soviet Union. It has however, retained its equipment and personnel and the Tu-334 contract was particularly exciting as LNK won it through a tender against international competition. Aviatest's relationship with Tupolev has existed over 20 years and involved testing on the Tu-154 and the Tu-134.
