Salekhard Airport closed due to subsidence

Restoration of flights will see increased frequencies (100 words)

Salekhard Airport reported that its runway closed on the 26th September for unexpected repairs after subsidence was found following an unusually hot summer and warm September. In its current condition the runway could only operate Yak-40s, halting travel on between Tyumen- Salekhard that was performed by a Tu-134. Yamal Airlines, the operator of this route, has recieved customer complaints due to the high demand for the route and plans to increase flights to cater when the repairs are completed.
