Second hand bombers pass tests

Tu-160 and Tu-95s begin weapons testing (150 words)

According to a report carried by AVN on the 9th October , from the headquarters of the 22nd heavy bombardment air division of the 37th air army.The 8 Tu-160 and 3 Tu-95MS transferred to Russia from the Ukraine, have passed flight tests after maintenance, and have begun firing tests. The aircraft acquired from the Ukraine in exchange of for the cancellation of energy debts left the Ukrainian air bases at Priluki and Uzina in the period fromNovember 1999 to February 2000. Relatively unused ,with a reported 80% of their frame lives left; the aircraft are expected to see another 20 years service as platforms for the delivery of current and future cruise missiles.
