Su-24M crash at Mozdok

Final stage of Chechnya sortie ends in disaster (81 words)

According to press agency reports, a Su-24M crashed, with no casualties, on 11th March at the Mozdok airbase in North Ossetia. Preliminary reports have indicated that fog may have been a contributing factor in the crash, which occurred during the return trip of an operational flight over Chechnya. The Air Force however, may not have ruled out the possibility of ground fire damage sustained during the aircraft's sortie.
