Far East airline boss murdered in Moscow

Igor Zhukovsky, the 39-year General Director of Magadan-based cargo airline NorthEastern Cargo Airlines, was murdered on the 3rd of April in Moscow. Zhukovsky had been in Moscow for several days on business when the killing took place. As with all killings of businessmen in Russia, the suspicion is that this was a contract hit, although no information is available to support this view. NorthEastern Cargo Airlines is based in Magadan and operates a fleet of Il-76 and An-12. The company was saved from bankruptcy by the Magadan region and was recently described as stable.
