On the 12th of April 2001 Krasair renewed its contract with Norilsk Mining, part of Norilsk Nickel, Russia's major ferrous metal producer, on providing transportation by KrasAir for Norilsk Mining's employees from the remote city of Norilsk. The programme covers 12 routes and will be in place between 1st of May 2001 - 1st of November 2001. Under the agreement KrasAir provides a special pricing structure for Norilsk employees during the period, the mining company compensating the airline for the discounts. KrasAir also receives favourable terms of operating out of Norilsk Airport Besides these 12 routes KrasAir has also won a tender by Norilsk city administration and Norilsk Mining to carry Norilsk's children on 8 charter flights to the Black Sea resort of Sochi. The two companies signed their first agreement in November 1998 with agreements signed twice a year since then covering travel in the winter and summer seasons. During the summer season of 2000, KrasAir operated 14 routes for Norilsk people.
