Published: 10/4/1999

Bashkirsky Airlines (BAL), which was formerly part of Aerovolga, has claimed that two more T-154Ms will be added to its fleet. According to the airline, it has been agreed that the jets will be paid for from the Bashkortostan regional budget. It has also been granted some tax relief. The airline currently possesses 44 aircraft and 15 helicopters, bought in Poland, Samara, Saint Petersburg, and Kumertau. It has recently opened up a new route to Moldova, Kishinev (www.concise.org 7th August 1999) and is building an international terminal.
