East Line opens route to Stuttgart

Domodedovo expands its German destinations

Published: 5/5/2000

Cargo carrier East Line, which started passenger services to Kazakhstan and Germany last April using Yak-42D and Tu-154Ms, has started a regular passenger service from Domodedovo to Stuttgart every Friday. The new flight is an addition to regular German flights to Hannover and Koeln by the Domodedovo based airline. Eats Line have ambitions to dramatically expand their passenger services over the next few years and have discussed the possibility of buying Airbuses. Although the airline has said that they would be unlikely to take delivery before 2004 according to its General Director Amirani Kurtanidze. In the meantime it has spent $2-4m on its Russian manufactured aircraft to “German" it airliners to standards it considers equivalent of the Boeing 737s operated by Aeroflot and Transaero on routes to Germany.
