Winter traffic growth for Prague airport

Prague"s Ruzyne airport sees traffic up by 20% in the first two months of 2000

Passenger traffic increased 20 % year on year at Prague's Ruzyne international airport in the first two months of 2000, according to business daily Hospodarske noviny (HN). During 1999, 4.82 m passengers passed through Ruzyne, a 4.2 % increase over 1998. The company controlling the airport, the Czech Airport Administration (CSL) expects that volume to increase to 6.4m for the whole of 2000. The volume growth for the traditionally slow winter period in January and February may suggest the target may be achievable.
