Another Il-103 sale in Peru

Marketing continues in Latin America

Vladimir Nungezer, the General Director of Lukhovizy Machine Building Plant (LMZ) part of the MiG group, has announced that that Peruvian company CIFCA has signed an agreement with Aviaexport to buy an Il-103 on the last day of FIDAE-2000 in Santiago, Chile. The Il-103 will be delivered within 40 days according to the agreement and CIFCA will assist in marketing the aircraft in Latin American, through demonstrations to aviation clubs and the air forces of a number of Latin America countries. Peru became MiG"s first Latin American customer for the Il-103 last year when it bought six for air force pilot basic training. The aircraft were delivered in 2 batches and are now in service. The LMZ Il-103 will remain in Chile and from the 5th April will be used for demonstration organised by Chilean company Aero Santa Maria will to 10 aviation clubs and to Chile"s air force before returning to Russia.
