Auction scheduled in Khabarovsk
Published:
3/16/2000
The Khabarovsk regional property fund has announced the auction, on 26th April 2000, of an ex-military An-24RT in Khabarovsk. The aircraft, which was manufactured in December 1992, has not been in use for the last year and a half. It is reported to have a life limit of another 14 months, which could potentially be extended. The starting price is $60,000.
International certification of the An-24s replacement, the An-140, is due any time now. Licensed production in Iran is scheduled to begin this month and production of the first eight An-140s is underway at the Karkov plant in eastern Ukraine. In contrast to the An-24 up for sale, the An-140s are expected to retail in excess of $7m.
