Norwegian carrier reopens connection(85 words)
Published:
4/9/2001
Norwegian airline Artic Air based in Alta, has opened a three times a week route between Murmansk - Kirkenes using a Dornier 228. Last year, two Norwegian airlines Wideroe and Braathens stopped flying to Murmansk, due to losses on the route.
Arctic Air will operate the route for three months and then extend it for a further three months according to the results of the trial period. It is hoped that the flights will be able to be coordinated with the SAS flights out of Kirkenes.
