Aeroflot confirms Bovis appointment for Sheremetyevo-3

On 8th May 2001, Aeroflot announced that it had signed an agreement with Bovis Lend Lease International Limited, so confirming the outcome of the February tender for the project management of the construction of Sheremetyevo-3. A spokesman said that financing issues are as yet undecided for the project but, with Bovis officially appointed, it would now seek investors for what will become Aeroflot's terminal at the airport. Bovis will be a shareholder in the venture, along with Aeroflot and Sheremetyevo International Airport and will be responsible for its operation after it is completed. It remains unclear whether or not the new terminal will operate under the structure of the airport. According to an airport spokesman, the issue is still being discussed.
