Uzbekiston Havo Yullary signs agreement with Air Kazakhstan

Leased route will be mutually beneficial (121 words)

According to Shukhrat Ibragimov, Sales Director of Uzbekiston Havo Yullary, the company has signed an agreement with Air Kazakhstan, under which Air Kazakhstan will lease its route Tashkent-Almaty to the Uzbek airline, receiving, in return, a quota on each flight of two business class and eight coach class seats. Ibragimov says that the new arrangement will reduce Air Kazakhstan's losses through operating an An-24 on the route with low load factors and improve those of Uzbekiston Havo Yullary's leased RJ-85s. The two sides have also agreed that a major part of the maintenance of Air Kazakhstan's western aircraft should be undertaken at the Tashkent Aircraft Repair Plant.
