Airports granted fee increases

MAP allows price hikes at five airports (110 words)

The Ministry of Anti-Monopoly Policy (MAP), which regulates the pricing of airports, has allowed increases in airport and ground service fees in five Russian airports The new charges, which are effective from 25th August 2001, apply to Abakan Airport, Surgut Airport, Voronezh Airport (operated by Voronezhavia), Kemerovo Airport and Ekaterinburg's Koltsovo Airport. The ministry said that the increases were granted in order to compensate for general increases in costs and utility tariffs, in particular. The increases for domestic routes are as follows: Abakan-26.7% Surgut-24.8% Voronezh- 38.8% Kemerovo-39.4% Ekaterinburg-38.7% Increases for international routes are as follows: Abakan-12.8% Surgut-27.7% Voronezh-64.1% Kemerovo-72.1% Ekaterinburg-37.8%
