TAT secures another UN contract

One-year deal in Western Sahara (102 words)

Tyumenaviatrans (TAT) has won a United Nations (UN) tender to provide air support to the UN's mission in Western Sahara. According to Inessa Gousseva, spokesperson for TAT, the one-year contract is worth $2.3m and could be extended for an additional year. Gousseva added that TAT will book $1.1m of the $2.3 m in 2001 for the use of 3 Mi-8Ts from 1st August 2001. The UN contract is an addition to those in Sierra Leone, Eritrea and Eastern Timor. In 2001, TAT expects to receive around $31.5 m from its international activities.
