Moscow International forum on airport lighting engineering equipment

The main items on the agenda of the international conference which took place at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport on October 22-24 focussed on the experience of technical lighting equipment and legislative requirements. The Director General of the "Aeroport" association Viktor Gorbachev told ConCISe that the issue of installing lighting equipment at airports is fundamental for Russia as it directly relates to air safety. Technical lighting equipment at Russian airports has become outdated, with almost 70% needing replacement. The main aim of the conference was to enable Russian specialists to exchange views on these issues with their counterparts from CIS member states and the rest of the world. (IN1097.8) (VZ)
