Airline urges government to follow EU in time change

Summertime blues for Air Baltic/ A decision, by Latvia, not to revert to summer time could have a negative impact on Air Baltic's revenues, which according to Talis Linkaits of Air Baltic, could amount to at least 1m lats ($1.68m). The government is due to make a decision on the issue on 26th March. Air Baltic has called on the government to concur with the EU position on summer time and not come to any hasty conclusions. Linkaits added that six months is needed to incorporate changes to the schedule of flights, given the complexity of coordinating arrival and departure times in foreign airports.
