Krasair takes delivery of Tu-134

KrasAir has taken delivery of the first of the three Tu-134s it announced in February. The first aircraft, which is configured as a charter business airliner, will carry 28 passengers laid out in two lounges and will be based at Sheremetyevo Airport In Moscow. The next two 76 passenger Tu–134s will be used for scheduled passenger routes and will be used on regular flights from Norilsk, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, as part of KrasAir"s plan to bring passengers to its longer hauls flights. KrasAir says that it is also due to take delivery of a Tu-204-100 to be used on long haul routes to Moscow, Vladivostok, Sochi and routes where the flight time is over five hours. The announcement of the new aircraft was made at a press conference at which KrasAir emphasised that its fleet expansion, while expanding the airline"s capability was also helping to support the domestic aerospace industry.
